Works without any problems
I used this cable with Windows 7 x64 and Windows 10 x64. I programmed Baofeng UV-B5 with Chirp, as well as three Kenwood TK-3170 handhelds using Kenwood software. In all cases programming went without any problems at all. No need to mess with drivers, completely plug-and-play operation. Windows downloads proper driver from Windows Update. The cable is on expensive side, but worth it if you want “just works” experience.

Comes with a good instruction sheet and reference links. The radio and Chirp have their quirks, but the cable works great. Makes programming much easier. I haven’t had any issues with the cable itself. The other components require proper process, but no big deal. Just spend a little time with it. Then it’s easy.

This cable worked exactly as needed. No fancy driver software to install on my Windows 10 laptop. I used the free software that Kenwood provided to program the radio and they both worked together just fine. Build quality is premium and should last the lifetime of the current technology.
